BUSINESSMED sharing its good practices during the event “Reinforcing the Innovation-Employability Nexus in the Mediterranean”
BUSINESSMED was invited to participated in the High-Level Roundtable and the presentation of the Handbook for Academics, industry and policy makers “Strengthening the Innovation-Employability Link in the Mediterranean” organized online by the Union for the Mediterranean on December 2, 2020.
The event, which was open to universities, research centres, ministries of education, intermediary institutions and civil society, saw the participation of several experts and regional organizations with extensive knowledge of the sector.
Having already worked on this topic in the framework of its Thematic Commission for Employers “Vocational Training and Skills Development” BUSINESSMED shared, through the intervention of the expert of this commission, policy tools and good practices to improve the employability of students and researchers while highlighting the role of research and innovation as vectors for the development of sustainable economies in the Mediterranean region.
During the event, a Handbook for universities, business and decision makers was presented. The publication is aimed at enhancing career development among students and researchers, at fostering entrepreneurship and start-ups, and at supporting universities in carrying out their ‘third mission’ towards society.
