The Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (BUSINESSMED) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME) on Friday 26th of February 2021.

This agreement was signed during a remote ceremony via Zoom by Mrs. Barbara Beltrame Giacomello, President of BUSINESSMED and Mrs Maria Helena De Felipe Lehtonen president of AFAEMME.

The MoU has been established with the purpose to enhance the Euro-Mediterranean business ecosystem and support the social and economic development of the economic stakeholders. The two organizations will work together on the implementation of an action program that includes the exchange of knowledge and best practices, by contributing to potential joint projects as well as outreach by giving visibility to each other actions, publications and other initiatives considered suitable by both Parties.

President Beltrame stated during the signing ceremony: “I believe that through AFAEMME and BUSINESSMED’S joint actions and future activities, we will actively work to the promotion and development of the Mediterranean Business ecosystem, fostering socio-economic integration and dialogue, while at the same time taking steps to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.”
