BUSINESSMED Technical Assistance Mission - ICC Syria - Designing interactive online webinars/trainings
In the framework of the EBSOMED project, BUSINESSMED, in collaboration with MDF Training & Consultancy, is setting up the Technical Assistance Mission "Designing interactive online webinars/trainings" to be carried out on October 2022.
With the work of ICC Syria increasingly taking place in an online setting, ICC Syria has identified the need to equip staff with the necessary skills to design and deliver a live online training (i.e. through virtual classroom software). To achieve this goal, we propose a training consisting of four online training sessions (each approximately 2 hours) accompanied with individual homework assignments. At the end of the training, learners:
- Can explain the concept of live online trainings and its pros and cons
- Can identify when to use live online trainings to support learning
- Can apply learning theories in their training design
- Can define learning objectives based on learner needs
- Can identify different parts and their functions in a live online training
- Can design a session outline for a live online training
- Feel confident to facilitate an interactive live online training
Below, we further elaborate on each of the sessions and the homework assignments. During the training sessions, we will not only provide useful tips and examples based on our own experience, but we will also allow learners to practice with tools that they, on their turn, can use for their own training. Tools that can be introduced include Mural, Mentimeter, and Kahoot. In this way, learners will be triggered to learn by doing.
