BUSINESSMED, represented by it General Secretary Mrs Jihen Boutiba, participated in the UfM -hosted seminar “Educational Pathways: How to Strengthen Bridges and Links between Higher Education and Vocational Training to Meet the Needs of
the Socio-Economic World?” on May 8thin Barcelona, within the Erasmus Plus project RESUME – RESeaU Méditerranéen pour l’Employabilité.
The seminar was a space for dialogue and experience sharing, allowed to exchange the perspectives of decision-makers, university representatives, socio-economic partners, experts and more broadly regional stakeholders interested in the reflection on the articulation of Higher Education and Vocational Training paths.
The attendees contributed to define the state of the actions already undertaken in this line in the Euro-Mediterranean region, to identify their impact within the universities and to determine concrete follow-up actions to reinforce the regional cooperation in the field.
Mrs Boutiba was invited to take part, as a speaker, in the third round table on “The benefits of a multi-stakeholder regional dialogue to respond to the challenge of youth employability, a key factor for regional stability and integration in the Mediterranean”.
The RESUME project aims at enhancing and reinforcing the role and potential of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the development of employability in the Mediterranean countries by adopting a transversal entrepreneurial mind-set and by strengthening the dialogue among the universities, the enterprises and the policy makers.
