BUSINESSMED participated on 11 October 2019 in the initiative «Incontrimpresa 2019 - Connext Sicilia Catania Siracusa», organized by Confindustria Catania and Confindustria Siracusa, an event considered as a territorial phase of the next Connext 2020.

The day was the occasion for participant Italian companies to know each other, expand business opportunities and create strategic partnerships. The attendees discussed the most important challenges for the development of companies in southern Italy in a changing Mediterranean context.

Several thematic discussions took place throughout the day and the focus was on the theme “Innovation as a vector for better competitive companies” which has explored research, innovation and digital transformation as strategic levers for the evolution of production systems.

The event was an opportunity for the General Secretary of BUSINESSMED, Mrs Jihen Boutina, to present the organisation and its main strategic drivers as well as the Business Country Desk (BCD), a new platform developed within the framework of the EBSOMED project, with the aim of promoting, foster and support synergies, partnership opportunities and B2b meetings between key players in the Euro-Mediterranean business ecosystem. She also announced that the BCD platform will be officially launched on the margins of the Connext 2020, to be held on 27 and 28 February 2020 in Milan.
