BUSINESSMED invited to Abidjan to discuss strategy, projects and services to members

BUSINESSMED participated in the International Trade Centre (ITC) capacity-building workshop on good practices of trade support institutions in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from 9 to 12 December 2019, in partnership with the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

ECOWAS is a regional group of 15 members whose mandate is to promote economic integration in all areas of activity of the constituent countries. The Vision of ECOWAS is the creation of a borderless region where the population has access to its abundant resources through the creation of opportunities under a sustainable environment.

Financed by the European Competitiveness Union of West Africa, this meeting in favour of the Federation of Employers' Associations of West Africa (FWAEA), aimed to provide a basis for organisational change within the FWAEA and its members, to improve member value, service delivery efficiency and sustainability.

The event was an opportunity for BUSINESSMED to present the various projects entrusted to it and the activities carried out contributing to the growth of the Euro-Mediterranean region. It also outlined its strategy and the services set up to meet the needs and interests of the members. BUSINESSMED also developed its areas of intervention and commitment for the respect of the sustainable development goals (blue economy, social dialogue, cultural industry, renewable energy, migration, employment, women’s empowerment, etc.).
