“As President I am proud to represent this organization and the work we have achieved. For the upcoming years of my mandate as President, I see the work of our organization continuing in line with our current achievements within our four pillars of Expertise, and this work will continue also with the help of Businessmed members, in spreading our EuroMed values and partnership spirit.

We also have identified four major pillars for our new path, which structure our activities and publications. We have established four Employers Thematic Commissions to develop the policy component of our action. We are looking at the impact of Digitalization and how we can help SMEs undergo this process, as well as their Internationalization one. We are focusing on how as Employers we can respond to the challenges of the Green Deal, which implications will define, how we will do business across the Mediterranean. And finally, we are focusing on Women and Youth Entrepreneurs as economic actors of our economies” Stated Barbara Beltrame Giacomello president of BUSINESSMED in her welcoming speech

Since last year, the organization has structured its activities around 4 pillars of expertise: Business, Dialogue, Regional Integration and Policy Reform. The Regional integration aspect includes the expansion of the organization's network to other countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, a prolific and favorable business environment for most of the organization's members. Agreements and partnerships with regional organizations are being considered to move forward in this direction.
