BUSINESSMED took part on June 25th, 2019, in the Forum "Connext Sicilia", an event organised by Sicindustria in Palermo, Italy, in collaboration with Confindustria and its partners, and aimed at strengthening business partnerships in the Mediterranean region. The event was attended by more than 450 companies and 1,300 visitors, with more than 600 B2B meetings organised.

The dense programme of the event allowed participants to alternate visits between the three main areas : the first one dedicated to stands, where companies have exhibited their products, services or informative materials; the second one dedicated to the organisation of the B2B appointments and business meetings and the third one dedicated to panels where 12 workshops have been organized on several topics.

The General Secretary of BUSINESSMED, Mrs Jihen Boutiba participated to the Round Table "Doing business in the Mediterranean", during which she emphasized the excellence of "Made in Italy". She explained the crucial role that the organisation plays in the Euro-Mediterranean geopolitical chessboard by being the main private sector representative and a connection platform between investors, Business Support Organisations and SMEs in the 22 countries of the region.

Connexet aims to allow each participating company to look beyond the boundaries of its perimeter, to meet new partners, customers, and suppliers and launch new development opportunities.
