BUSINESSMED expands its strategic partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa
In 2020 and as part of a reflection on the improvement of these services to its members, BUSINESSMED has rethought its offer and structured its activities around 4 areas of expertise: Business, Dialogue, Regional Integration and Policy Reforms. The Regional integration aspect includes the expansion of the organization's network to other countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, a prolific and favourable business environment for most of the organization's members. In that context the organization is planning during the year 2022 the signature of agreements and partnerships with regional organizations are being considered to move forward in this direction.
In this context and as part of its strategy for development BUSINESSMED signed on March 10th, 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding with E4Impact Foundation, a structure aiming at facilitating the international development of European and African companies involved in social and environmental issues.
In the light of the scope of both parties, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) expresses the willingness of both organizations establish and enhance their cooperation on in the areas of mutual concerns based on the following axis:
- Sharing of best practices and know-how during exchange programs of research and developing joint innovative research and business support projects.
- Joint submission of projects to potential donors.
- Potential synergies on current projects.
- Outreach activities and providing visibility to each other actions and initiatives through each organization network.
The E4IMPACT FOUNDATION is an Italian not for profit organization that has a significant expertise in training a new generation of impact entrepreneurs in Africa, capable of combining economic success with positive social impact and partnering with local universities to embed entrepreneurial education in African Management Curricula. The organization also aims at facilitating the international development of European and African companies attentive to social and environmental impact.
