BUSINESSMED at he 4th Mediterranean Shared Social Responsibility Convention

The Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (BUSINESSMED), represented by its Secretary General, Mrs Jihen BOUTIBA MRAD, attended the 4th Mediterranean Shared Social Responsibility Convention, which has been held in Naples from June 16th to June 18th 2016.

The event was promoted by the Association of Social Promotion “Spazio alla Responsabilità” under the High Patronage of the European Parliament, the Patronage of European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), CSR Europe, UNIONCAMERE Campania, ANCI Campania, Campania Region, the Municipality of Naples, with the collaboration of Italian Ministry of Economic Development, Eurosportello ‐ Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Naples and the Enterprise Europe Network, INAIL Campania, Campania Region – Departments of Education and Social Policies and Labour and Human Resource.

During the three-day event four main topics as well as specific issues have been touched via an informal format unmediated, among them:

  • Transparency and legality;
  • Innovation and sustainability;
  • Sharing and participation;
  • Inclusion and social cohesion.

In particular, during the second day of the Convention entitled Scenarios, Strategies and Tools for the Social Responsibility in Euromed,BUSINESSMED had the opportunity to exchange views and information with relevant personalities and international socio-economic actors. In this effect, Mrs Jihen BOUTIBA MRAD, stressed the importance of the Naples Charter, a document which aims at guiding and engaging Euro-Mediterranean Stakeholders toward a Social responsibility approach as well as the urgent need to put in place a platform in order to encourage the institutional and social dialogue on sustainable development and RSE activities.
