BUSINESSMED, in the framework of the EBSOMED project, organised on 16 September 2021 a webinar on « R&D Energy Technology ». The webinar presented the results of the empirical study conducted following the fieldwork and the literature review on the energy market in the 4 target countries namely, Egypt, Jordan, Malta, and Tunisia and developed in the framework of the Employers Thematic committee « Education and R&D on Energy Technologies ».

The committee has been created in 2018 with the aim to join the forces to stimulate investments in a resource-efficient economy, promoting innovation in clean technology and creating green jobs.

Synergies between the EBSOMED project and other Mediterranean initiatives in the field of innovation and green economy were showcased during the webinar. CIHEAM BARI put forward the role of the MEDITERRANEAN INNOVATION PARTNERSHIP and their Mediterranean Innovation Hub, a public-private international centre of excellence for innovation and creation of new businesses, promoting entrepreneurship and exchanges across the Mediterranean in the field of innovation, via specific trainings.

The variety of initiatives presented demonstrated the synergies that the EBSOMED project and the thematic commissions launched by BUSINESSMED have been able to establish at the Mediterranean level.
