Within the framework of the Thematic Committee for the benefit of Employers developed by BUSINESSMED set up under the project EBSOMED, the committee "Vocational Training and Skills Development" held an online workshop on April 21, 2021.

The aim of the workshop was to exchange and collect more information on the field of vocational education and training in the target countries. The committee members from Egypt, Lebanon, Portugal and Morocco each presented practical cases and examples of procedures in force in their respective countries.

The members also discussed the emergence of new models of vocational training and the involvement of the private sector in the reform of the sector. The various interventions made during the workshop will serve to complete the results of the survey launched a few months ago by the expert of BUSINESSMED in order to elaborate the second report and the second factsheet of this thematic committee.

As a reminder, this commission for the benefit of employers in the Euro-Mediterranean region intend to meet the priorities of the sector of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as defined by the European Union.
