Social dialogue Training workshop for employer’s confederations in Palestine
Within the framework of the second phase of the SOLID project and in order to enhance the skills of social partners to create a better culture based on comprehensive social dialogue to reach agreements acceptable to all parties, BUSINESSMED organized on September 14 and 15, 2021 in Palestine in collaboration with the Palestinian Federation of Industries (PFI) and the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Agriculture and Industry , a training workshop for the benefit of the representatives of employers' organizations on the topic of the social dialogue.
As the economic and social crisis continues in Palestine, the private sector plays an important role in facing challenges and achieving economic development in its various fields.
Representatives of employers’ organizations expressed their active involvement in the SOLiD2 project as it responds directly to their demands and will enhance their expertise and skills in social dialogue, which will positively reflect on the achievement of their goals through access to regional experiences and legal concepts to establish effective methods of work to confront most of the challenges.
The main objective of the training was to strengthen the idea and concept of social dialogue as a tool to address the most important issues and challenges, and to define the role of all parties to move forward in serious and effective negotiations on professional bases by respecting the other party’s point of view to overcome crises and achieve sustainable development goals.
This activity represented an opportunity for discussion between representatives of employers’ organizations to determine the priorities of the private sector and the mechanisms for achieving economic growth and ways of cooperation between the various social partners.
This workshop is part of a set of training sessions for various target groups in the countries of the second phase of the SOLiD project. Bilateral and multilateral meetings and workshops will follow these workshops in order to build a comprehensive and structured social dialogue.
